Home prices decreased in Brooklyn during October 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in October 2018 in Brooklyn fell by $15,300 while total sales increased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In October 2018, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $154,600 - a 9% decrease over the $169,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Brooklyn in October 2017.

The median sales tax in Brooklyn for 2018 was $4,335. In 2017, the median sales tax was $4,086. This marks an increase of 6.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
