August 2018: Home prices in DeForest fell

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2018 in DeForest fell by $48,150 while total sales decreased by 51.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2018, there were 20 homes sold, with a median sale price of $205,850 - a 19% decrease over the $254,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 41 homes sold in DeForest in August 2017.

The median sales tax in DeForest for 2018 was $4,417. In 2017, the median sales tax was $4,130. This marks an increase of 6.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
