Pricing for the median home in Madison increased during January 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2018 in Madison rose by $2,250 while total sales decreased by 6.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2018, there were 404 homes sold, with a median sale price of $222,350 - a 1% increase over the $220,100 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 432 homes sold in Madison in January 2017.

The median sales tax in Madison for 2018 was $5,191. In 2017, the median sales tax was $5,028. This marks an increase of 3.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
