An upcoming election deadline is approaching quickly in Wisconsin. The indefinitely confined and military voter deadline to request absentee ballot for elections takes place in four weeks on Feb. 17.

Voters who are indefinitely confined due to illness, age, or disability, as well as military personnel, must request an absentee ballot by a specified deadline to participate in elections. Failure to meet the deadline will result in the inability to vote via absentee ballot in the elections.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission is a bipartisan regulatory agency that administers and enforces election laws in the state. It was established in 2016 alongside the Wisconsin Ethics Commission, replacing the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB).
