The Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has introduced a new specialty license plate from the Wisconsin County Forests Association. This non-profit organization focuses on educating the public and sustaining over 2.4 million acres of forests for recreational purposes and supplying materials to the state's forest products industry.
Residents interested in obtaining this special plate must make a $25 annual donation. This contribution will support advocacy and promotion of sustainable forest management within Wisconsin. The fee structure for these plates includes a $25 annual contribution, which may be tax-deductible, a one-time $15 issuance fee, and an optional $15 personalization fee per year. Additionally, standard vehicle registration fees apply, which might include wheel tax if applicable.
This new offering is part of an expanding collection of 61 special license plates available to residents. Interested individuals can view and order these plates online at wisconsindmv.gov/specialplates or through mail orders. Plates are delivered directly to customers.
Both specialty and regular license plates can be ordered and renewed via the DMV's website at wisconsindmv.gov.
