Hundreds of thousands of football fans are expected to descend on Green Bay for the 2025 Draft from April 24 to April 26. With such a significant influx of visitors, concerns have arisen over potential fraudulent transportation schemes targeting attendees.
Visitors will likely utilize buses, shuttles, rideshare services, or their own vehicles to navigate the city. This presents opportunities for scammers to sell fake transit tickets, reservations, and passes. Attendees are encouraged to seek trusted sources for information on parking and transportation. Updates and details are available via the NFL OnePass app, which provides:
- A free bus route by Green Bay Metro from Downtown Green Bay to the Draft event grounds.
- Free shuttles provided by the Brown County Tavern League from member establishments to visitor lodging.
- Designated pick-up and drop-off zones for rideshares like Uber and Lyft.
- Availability of traditional taxi services during the Draft period.
With most attendees expected to drive, drivers are cautioned about potential parking scams. Automated parking meters, convenient tools for payment via coins, credit cards, or online, display QR codes to simplify the process. However, these QR codes can be tampered with, posing another risk to consumers.
Additionally, attendees may encounter scams even after parking in legitimate spots, with issues potentially arising weeks or even months after the event.
