Scott Walker, former Governor of Wisconsin, said that the law is clear and asserted that Judge Hannah Dugan should be held accountable for obstructing justice as a federal judge considers dismissing her case. The statement was made on X.

"Lynn Adelman should have never been on the federal court," said Walker. "He is a flaming liberal activist. This is a bad sign as he's likely looking for a reason to dismiss the case. The law is clear, suspended Judge Hannah Dugan obstructed justice and should be held accountable for her actions."

According to The Washington Post, Judge Hannah Dugan of Milwaukee County was suspended by the Wisconsin Supreme Court in April 2025 after being federally indicted for allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant avoid Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in her courtroom. This incident has prompted a statewide debate about judicial conduct and immigration enforcement.

A University of California Law review reports that about 15% of motions to dismiss in federal civil cases are filed by judges. However, comprehensive national data on motions to dismiss in judicial misconduct cases is limited, and such filings remain a minority of all federal judicial discipline actions.

According to the Wisconsin Court System, state circuit courts handled over 300,000 cases annually from 2022 to 2023. Yet, fewer than five formal disciplinary actions against judges are typically issued each year, highlighting the rarity of judicial accountability proceedings.

As reported by Wikipedia, Walker was Wisconsin’s 45th governor from 2011 to 2019. He is known for passing Act 10 to curb union bargaining rights, cutting taxes, and expanding school choice. Walker previously served as Milwaukee County Executive and a state assemblyman.
