U.S. Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin introduced Rebecca Taibleson, the nominee for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, at her confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The nomination was made by President Trump.
During the hearing, Johnson said, “Rebecca Taibleson is a highly qualified candidate to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She has a strong commitment to the Constitution and will apply the law as written. I strongly encourage everyone to vote in favor of her confirmation.”
Johnson has maintained his position in Wisconsin politics through several closely contested elections. In 2022, he won re-election against Mandela Barnes with 50.4% of the vote compared to Barnes' 49.4%. Earlier victories include defeating Russ Feingold in both 2016 and 2010 general elections, with margins of 50.2% to 46.8% and 51.9% to 47%, respectively.
