Derrick Van Orden, Representative of Wisconsin, said that the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act would protect manufacturing jobs, wages, and the state's economy if passed. The statement was made on X.

"Wisconsin is one of the top manufacturing states in the nation, with 12,000 manufacturing workers in WI-03 alone," said Derrick Francis Van Orden, U.S. Representative from Wisconsin. "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act protects jobs, wages, and our economy. We must get this bill to President Trump's desk and signed into law!"

According to the White House and Congressional Budget Office, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act aims to boost American manufacturing through broad tax cuts and incentives. However, critics argue it could reverse clean energy gains from the Inflation Reduction Act and add over $3 trillion to the deficit, fueling debate on its long-term impact.

As reported by Congressman Van Orden’s office, Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District employs about 12,000 manufacturing workers. Manufacturing is a key economic driver in the district, highlighting the importance of federal policy on the local workforce.

According to Climate Power, Wisconsin’s manufacturing job numbers have remained mostly flat from 2020 to 2025. Meanwhile, new clean energy projects in WI-03 created 1,850 jobs and $2.37 billion in investment—gains now threatened by the rollback of tax credits under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

As described by Wikipedia, Derrick Van Orden is a former Navy SEAL who has served as U.S. Representative for Wisconsin’s 3rd District since 2023. He focuses on veterans’ issues, agriculture, fiscal conservatism and serves on key House committees for his district.
