Glenn Grothman, Representative of Wisconsin, said that House Republicans passed the One Big Beautiful Bill to provide tax relief and fulfill their promises. His remarks were made on X.
"House Republicans just PASSED the One Big Beautiful Bill, blocking massive tax hikes and delivering real relief for hard working Americans," said Glenn Sholes Grothman, U.S. Representative from Wisconsin. "We promised to fight for you, and we delivered. I'm proud to stand with President Trump and House Republicans to put America First and protect your hard-earned money."
The One Big Beautiful Bill, enacted in July 2025, permanently extends 2017 tax cuts and introduces expanded deductions and credits aimed at providing substantial relief for middle-income households and small businesses. According to Politico, the bill’s tax relief provisions became a focal point in bipartisan negotiations and were widely promoted by lawmakers for their impact on American families.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, the One Big Beautiful Bill is projected to deliver over $1.2 trillion in tax savings for U.S. households over the next decade. This is primarily achieved through a higher Child Tax Credit, increased standard deductions, and expanded tax breaks for seniors and homeowners. Average middle-income families are expected to save more than $2,500 annually.
The Tax Policy Center reports that the tax relief in the One Big Beautiful Bill is both larger and more permanent than that provided by the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. New features include a higher State And Local Taxes (SALT) cap and expanded deductions for auto loan interest, making it one of the most comprehensive tax reforms in recent federal history.
Grothman has represented Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District since 2015. He is a senior member of the House Oversight and Education Committees and is known for his focus on tax reform, workforce policy, and economic growth, as noted by Ballotpedia.
