Advance Transit, the public transportation provider serving the Upper Valley, will launch a new website on August 19. The updated site at advancetransit.com is designed to improve user experience for riders by offering easier navigation and access to bus system information.

The redesigned website features a streamlined interface for trip planning, making it simpler for users to organize their journeys. Riders will also have improved access to route and schedule details and can receive real-time service alerts about changes or delays.

One of the key additions is an interactive live service map that allows users to track buses in real time. This feature is supported by newly installed 5G modems on each bus, which are expected to increase the reliability and accuracy of tracking data compared to previous systems. The website also introduces enhanced search functionality for quicker access to specific stops or schedules.

Adams Carroll, Executive Director of Advance Transit, said, “Feedback from community members is so important to us at Advance Transit. We often hear people tell us that they want clear, easy-to-use options for getting information about public transit. We’re launching this new website to empower our riders with tools to make their travel experience with Advance Transit as smooth as possible.”

Before the official launch, community members can preview the site at staging.advancetransit.com and submit feedback through a dedicated form at staging.advancetransit.com/customer-service/website-feedback.

Funding for the project came from a federal grant administered by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, while installation of 5G modems was supported by a grant from the Vermont Agency of Transportation’s Mobility and Transportation Innovation program.
