Leroy T. McNamara, a 62-year-old resident of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. The sentencing took place on September 5, 2025, before U.S. District Judge William M. Conley. McNamara pleaded guilty to the charge on the same day.

In July 2024, McNamara sold a total of 335 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant during two separate transactions.

At the sentencing hearing, Judge Conley stated, “McNamara’s willingness to trade on the addictions of others through his escalated drug dealing made him a danger to society.”

The investigation that led to McNamara's conviction was carried out by the West Central Drug Task Force, the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant U.S. Attorney Megan Stelljes handled the prosecution.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, which is a national effort by the Department of Justice focused on combating illegal immigration and dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations in order to protect communities from violent crime.
