Twenty nonprofits across Wisconsin will receive grant money totaling at least $250,000 from the Milwaukee Bucks Foundation this summer.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to provide grants to these 20 organizations, whose hard work and dedication to the community we want to amplify and support,” Milwaukee Bucks Foundation Executive Director Arvind Gopalratnam said in a press release. “We look forward to strengthening our relationship with these grantee recipients so that together, we can continue to make a positive impact on our community.”
Organizations pegged for the grants align with the foundation’s pillars of health and wellness, economic and individual empowerment, education, civic engagement, and criminal justice and law reform. The foundation also selects organizations that support and target mental health, justice reform, youth sports funding, therapy, and environmental change.
The foundation hosted a reception and panel discussion Thursday at the Fiserv Forum to highlight the new partnerships.
This summer’s grant recipients include 100 Black Men of Greater Milwaukee, Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, Ma’Ruf, Milwaukee Public Libraries and the Benedict Center.
