The Wisconsin Builders Foundation has announced the award of 21 scholarships to students pursuing higher education programs related to the building trades. With a total of over $60,000 in scholarships granted since its inception, the Foundation continues its commitment to supporting the residential building industry and addressing the workforce shortage in this sector.
The scholarship recipients, selected from a competitive pool of applicants, have shown exceptional dedication to their education and a clear passion for the building trades. These scholarships will help cover tuition, books, and other educational expenses, enabling students to focus on gaining necessary skills and knowledge for successful careers in the industry.
“We are thrilled to support these outstanding students as they embark on their educational journeys,” said Havey Kessel, President of the Wisconsin Builders Foundation. “The building trades are essential to our state’s economy and communities, and it’s crucial that we invest in the next generation of skilled workers. These scholarships not only support individual students but also contribute to the overall strength and sustainability of the residential building industry in Wisconsin.”
The Wisconsin Builders Foundation has long been dedicated to fostering education and training opportunities within the building trades. By awarding these scholarships, the Foundation aims to encourage more young people to consider careers in this field, thereby helping bridge the workforce gap that has impacted the industry in recent years.
