Wisconsin DOJ continues probe into Heather Szekeres' death in Shawano County

The Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is continuing its investigation into the 2013 disappearance and death of Heather Szekeres. The DCI is working alongside the Shawano County Sheriff and Shawano Police Department in this case.

Recently, law enforcement officials revisited the site where Szekeres was discovered in 2014. During their search, they recovered additional evidence. However, details about the ongoing investigation remain undisclosed at this time.

The investigation is being led by the DCI and Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, with support from the Shawano Police Department, Wisconsin State Crime Laboratories, and Wisconsin State Patrol.
