A member of the National Border Patrol Council, the largest Border Patrol union across the country, said the nation would "go to hell" if Vice President Kamala Harris were elected. He made the comments in a speech endorsing former President Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election on behalf of the organization. 

“America, I have a message for you," Border Patrol agent Paul Perez, who is the head of the union’s Local 3307 chapter in Arizona. "If we allow border czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country is going to go to hell."

"The untold millions of people, unvetted, who she has allowed into this country that are committing murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries, and every other crime, will continue to put our country in peril," Perez said. "Only one man can fix that. That is Donald J. Trump."

Biden announced on March 24, 2021 his appointment of Harris “to lead efforts to stamp migration across the U.S.-Mexico border.”

"On behalf of the 16,000 men and women represented by the National Border Patrol Council, we strongly support and endorse Donald J. Trump for President of the United States," the organization posted on their X account on Monday. 

An August poll from American Greatness reported Trump and Harris were tied in Wisconsin. According to the poll, 52% of voters said the economy is among their top three issues, and 36% said immigration and border issues is among their top three. 

In regards to the border, 55% of voters said they prefer Trump rather than Harris be in charge of immigration, while 37% said they would before Harris over Trump. 57% of Wisconsin voters blame Harris “entirely,“entirely, a lot, or some"some" for the recent sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl in Fond du Lac by an illegal alien from Nicaragua. Additionally, 63% of voters support building/finishing Trump’s border wall.

The majority, 60% of Wisconsin voters said they were better off financially under President Trump, and 52% of voters said the economy is among their top three issues. Among the top three issues within the economy, voters were primarily concerned with broad inflation, with 56% choosing it as their top concern, and food prices were second at 47%. 

According to an analysis of CBP Data conducted by Tucson Standard, during fiscal year 2024, CBP arrested 45,402 illegal aliens who have previous criminal convictions or who are wanted by law enforcement.

Approximately 16,465 of these arrests have been made by the U.S. Border Patrol, and 28,937 of these arrests have been made by the CBP’s Office of Field Operations.

CBP has reported more than 2.7 million illegal alien encounters during Fiscal Year 2024, while there were only 646,822 in Fiscal Year 2020. The CBP’s 2024 fiscal year runs from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024.
