Attorneys general condemn potential election-related violence

Attorney General Josh Kaul has joined a bipartisan coalition of 51 attorneys general to denounce any potential violence related to the upcoming election results. The statement, issued by the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), underscores the significance of civic engagement and respect for democratic processes.

The coalition expressed their expectation that Americans will respond peacefully regardless of Tuesday's election outcome. They condemned any acts of violence connected to the results, emphasizing that a peaceful transfer of power is a fundamental aspect of the rule of law and national stability. "As Attorneys General, we affirm our commitment to protect our communities and uphold the democratic principles we serve," they stated.

The group urged Americans to vote, engage in civil discourse, and respect the integrity of democracy. They called for unity post-election, focusing on shared commitments to the rule of law and public safety. "Violence has no place in the democratic process; we will exercise our authority to enforce the law against any illegal acts that threaten it," they declared.
