A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Rusk County Election Department in Wisconsin on October 30, 2024. The request was made by us at The Sconi, a media organization dedicated to delivering comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
The request seeks detailed information about the methods used by the department for counting ballots during elections. Specifically, we asked for a list of methods employed by the department for this purpose. In cases where manual counting is utilized, we requested an estimated number of individuals who would be working on election night.
