Authorities in Wisconsin have announced the arrest of 14 individuals involved in drug trafficking activities across the greater Milwaukee area. The arrests follow a comprehensive investigation led by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the West Allis Police Department, and the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. A 60-count criminal complaint has been filed in Milwaukee County against 19 individuals, accusing them of manufacturing and delivering fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine. Additional charges include recklessly endangering safety, firearm possession by a felon, conspiracy to deliver drugs, bail jumping, narcotics possession, and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

On January 29th, law enforcement executed 11 residential search warrants and one business search warrant in Milwaukee and surrounding areas including Wauwatosa, Cudahy, and Brown Deer. These operations resulted in the recovery of approximately one kilogram of cocaine, several ounces of fentanyl, and 12 firearms. Among these firearms was one modified with a "switch" to function as a fully automatic weapon. Authorities also discovered a ghost gun alongside a 3D printer at one residence.

The investigation also revealed that two individuals connected to this drug trafficking case—Deontay Long and Rodney Walls—were victims of homicide on December 23rd last year. The suspect in their deaths was identified as Valentin Santana through ongoing investigative efforts. Santana was apprehended following a vehicle pursuit initiated after he fled from police officers attempting to conduct a traffic stop near Oklahoma Avenue.

Attorney General Josh Kaul emphasized the importance of collaboration among agencies committed to combating crime: “Wisconsin communities deserve to be safe from the distribution of dangerous narcotics like fentanyl.” He credited joint efforts for enabling these arrests.

West Allis Police Chief Patrick Mitchell expressed gratitude for support received during this extensive investigation: “The law enforcement officers...are committed to vigorously investigating individuals who engage in drug trafficking.”

Milwaukee County District Attorney Kent Lovern acknowledged contributions from various partners: “I want to thank...the Wisconsin Department of Justice for providing financial resources necessary to carry out this investigation.” He also recognized Deputy District Attorney Megan Newport and Assistant District Attorney Catelin Ringersma for their roles throughout this process.

Among those charged are Thomas M. Brown (41), Steven Gruetzmacher (42), Mohammad Mahmood (34), Pamela M. Malvick (49), Ladarius D. Marshall (32), John K. McKay Jr. (25), Koriayon J. McKay (22), Joshua D. Patton (29), Terrion L. Pierce (21), Todd L. Seidl (47), Malik R. Taylor (29). Several others were arrested but not yet charged; additional charges are expected soon.

The case will be prosecuted by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office where defendants remain presumed innocent until proven guilty.

This investigation involved multiple agencies including Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office; Washington County Sheriff’s Office; Milwaukee Police Department; U.S Drug Enforcement Administration; North-Central High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas program along with South Shore SWAT team members from St Francis Police Dept., Germantown PD & more under federal guidance such as FBI & DHS
