The Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is currently investigating an officer-involved death that took place in the Township of Newbold, Oneida County, Wisconsin. The incident occurred on the evening of January 17, 2025.

According to reports, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Deputy Michael Bedish from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Matthew Johnson, 28, on Highway 47 at Northwestern Avenue.
