In February, the Badger 5 lottery players experienced a notable win as a $129,999 jackpot was divided among three winning tickets. These tickets were sold at Kwik Trip in Whitehall, Rice's Liquor in Burlington, and Jack's Fresh Market in Marinette for the drawing on February 25, 2025. The numbers drawn were 1-5-17-19-21, and each winner will receive $43,333.

This event marks the fifth instance of a Badger 5 jackpot exceeding $100,000 being won within seven weeks and is the sixth winning jackpot ticket sold this month.

Kathleen Ziminski, co-owner of Jack's Fresh Market, expressed her excitement about her store's involvement in the win. "This is awesome. It's exciting for our community," she stated. She further mentioned that "selling a winning ticket helps with future business." Wisconsin Lottery retailers benefit from selling such tickets by receiving a two percent Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive on prizes over $599, capped at $100,000.

The three retailers have histories of selling significant winning tickets. Previous wins include $10,000 and $100,000 scratch ticket prizes at Whitehall Kwik Trip; a $50,000 Powerball prize at Rice's Liquor; and a $100,000 All or Nothing prize at Jack's Fresh Market.

Winners from Tuesday’s draw have up to 180 days to claim their prizes. Details on claiming winnings are available on wilottery.com. Players can also verify their tickets using the Lottery’s mobile app accessible via the App Store or Google Play.

Badger 5 is exclusive to Wisconsin and has daily draws after 9 p.m., with an odds ratio of winning set at 1:169,911. Tickets must be purchased before this time to qualify for that day's draw.

The odds for other lottery games like Powerball and All or Nothing are significantly higher than those for Badger 5; specifically, they stand at 1:913,130 for Powerball’s $50,000 prize and 1:352,716 for All or Nothing’s $100,000 prize.
