Aspirus St. Luke’s and Aspirus Lake View are marking one year since their affiliation with Wausau-based Aspirus Health. This partnership has led to significant developments in patient care, service expansion, and clinical collaboration.
Since the affiliation, the hospitals have expanded specialty services such as urogynecology and allergy, increased both inpatient and outpatient care volumes, boosted surgical volumes, and standardized technology. Notably, they will launch the Epic electronic health record on April 1, 2025.
Dr. Nick Van Deelen, President of Aspirus Health Minnesota Region, stated: “Our affiliation has allowed us to make significant improvements that directly benefit our patients and communities.” He noted the positive impact seen over the past year.
Greg Ruberg, President of Aspirus Lake View, commented: “As we celebrate our one-year anniversary, it’s inspiring to see the progress we’ve made together.” He highlighted strengthened patient care and expanded resources as key outcomes of the partnership.
Aspirus has pledged an investment of at least $300 million over eight years for strategic projects in the Minnesota Region. There are also plans to introduce the Aspirus Health Plan in this area within a few years.
