Rep. Gwen Moore, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 4th district since 2005, shared her views on social issues through a series of tweets. These posts highlight concerns regarding Medicaid cuts, corporate subsidies, and the challenges faced by families relying on government assistance programs.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Moore tweeted about the potential impact of Medicaid cuts on individuals like Terri and her adult disabled daughter, Addie. She emphasized that such cuts could jeopardize Addie's ability to remain in her lifelong community. "Terri and her adult disabled daughter, Addie, have relied on Medicaid to get the assistance they need."

In another tweet posted shortly after, Rep. Moore addressed issues of financial misuse within federal systems versus private corporations. She stated that fraud is not primarily found within the federal workforce but rather in taxpayer-funded subsidies for profitable companies. "The fraud, waste and abuse is not largely in the federal workforce."

Later that day, she shared a story from one of her constituents who supports family members dependent on SNAP and Medicaid benefits. The constituent questioned how one income can sufficiently support multiple adults and children under such circumstances. “How much can one person's income help two adults and four children?”
