Gwen Moore, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Wisconsin’s 4th district since 2005, recently expressed her views on social media regarding fiscal policies and veterans' affairs. Her statements reflect concerns about the impact of certain government actions on vulnerable populations.

On March 7, 2025, Moore addressed budgetary issues in a tweet stating, "You can't cut the amount necessary to pay for Donald Trump's deficit-exploding tax cuts for the wealthy without cutting Medicaid. Full stop. The poor get sicker and the rich get richer -- that's Republicans plan for America."

Later that day, she commented on decisions affecting veterans at a VA facility. She tweeted, "I'm standing at the VA where Elon Musk decided that three veterans, three of my constituents, were waste, fraud and abuse. At a time when the VA is serving more veterans than ever before, these purges are a slap in the face to those who have sacrificed for our country."

Continuing her critique of current administrative actions towards veterans and VA staff, Moore stated on March 8, 2025: "While Trump and DOGE operate in the shadows to fire veterans and VA staff, I am pushing back in any way that I can. They are taking us backward when it comes to serving our veterans and providing them with the best care."
