The Wisconsin Lottery has updated its website to enhance resources related to responsible gaming and problem gambling. This initiative aligns with the national Problem Gambling Awareness Month campaign, aiming to educate players on responsible play, scam avoidance, minor protection, and available help for gambling issues.

Collaborating with the Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling (WCPG), the Lottery has ensured that the new web pages are user-friendly and informative. These pages offer contact information and literature for those seeking assistance. Additionally, they provide guidance on identifying signs of problem gambling, approaching conversations about potential issues with loved ones, and debunking myths about the gaming industry.

Throughout this month, the Lottery is working alongside over 3,600 retailers in Wisconsin as part of a multi-media campaign for Problem Gambling Awareness Month. This includes digital display video messaging and posters at retail locations, radio spots statewide and on YouTube, print ads in community publications, as well as content across social media platforms and in their Players Club newsletter.

The Wisconsin Lottery emphasizes its commitment to promoting responsible play while supporting both state and national councils focused on problem gambling.

For those needing assistance or more information about responsible gaming practices or problem gambling support services, WCPG provides a helpline at 800-GAMBLE-5. There are also options for online chatting or texting at 850-888-HOPE. These services are available 24/7. Further details can be found by visiting wilottery.com/resp-gaming/home.
