Advance Transit has announced the return of the Lot 9 Shuttle service, which was reinstated on Monday, April 7, 2025. This service provides a free and frequent public transportation option connecting Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) with the Lot 9 parking area and additional stops along Medical Center Drive.

The reintroduction of the Lot 9 Shuttle addresses the growing demand for parking at DHMC and aims to alleviate congestion while improving traffic management. The shuttle operates every 15 minutes and is supported by Dartmouth Health. This service was previously suspended in 2022 and its return demonstrates the ongoing partnership between Advance Transit and Dartmouth Health, focusing on the transportation needs of the Upper Valley community.

"Dartmouth Health, anchored by DHMC, is a critical economic and healthcare engine for our region,” said Adams Carroll, Advance Transit Executive Director. “The reintroduction of the Lot 9 Shuttle addresses the transportation needs of this major employer and the broader community. By utilizing intercept parking and public transit, we can collectively ease traffic burdens and improve regional mobility.”

The Lot 9 Shuttle complements the existing Lot 20 Shuttle service, further enhancing the transportation options available to the DHMC community. Both shuttle services form part of Advance Transit's commitment to providing reliable and accessible public transportation in the Upper Valley.
