Vreni Gust has ascended to the role of Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. Her responsibilities now encompass overseeing marketing, advertising, social media, and public relations across the bank's service areas in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Gust will collaborate with partners to uphold and advance the bank’s mission and core values.

Gust has been part of the bank for nine years, starting as a Marketing Brand Specialist in 2016 at Lake Sunapee Bank, which was subsequently acquired by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. Her path within the bank saw her promoted to Assistant Vice President, Marketing Coordinator in 2017, and Vice President, Product & Segment Marketing Manager in 2018. Her prior experience includes roles as Event Coordinator at Enfield Shaker Museum and Events and Administrative Coordinator at the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce.

Educationally, Gust holds a Master's in Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University. She is an alumnus of the Northern New England School of Banking.

Engaged in her community, Gust serves on the Young Bankers Committee of the New Hampshire Bankers Association and has been involved with Upper Valley Habitat for Humanity and the Upper Valley Young Professionals. She resides in White River Junction, Vermont, with her husband, Matt Young, and their two children.
