This weekend saw a significant event in the Wisconsin Lottery as the Badger 5 Lotto game awarded one of its largest jackpots. The $386,000 prize was split between two winning tickets for the drawing on Friday, April 25, 2025. The winning tickets were sold at Tadych's Marketplace in Sturgeon Bay and a Kwik Trip location in Tomah, marking it the third largest jackpot in the history of Badger 5.
The Wisconsin Lottery reported that sales for Badger 5 tickets amounted to $1.2 million last week. This figure is the second highest on record, surpassed only by the $1.3 million generated in May 2020, which led to the Badger 5 record jackpot of $411,000.
In the current year, there have been 28 instances where the Badger 5 jackpot was won, with seven of those jackpots exceeding $100,000. Retailers in Wisconsin who sell winning tickets over $599 are rewarded with a two percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, capped at $100,000.
Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their winnings, and prize claiming information is available at wilottery.com. Additionally, a mobile app allows players to check if their ticket is a winner, available on the App Store and Google Play.
The Badger 5 Lotto draws take place daily after 9 p.m., with odds of winning the jackpot set at 1 in 169,911. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to participate in that day's draw.
