This award, presented at the Wisconsin Stroke Coalition Spring Meeting and 6th Annual Performance Improvement Awards, acknowledges health care teams that excel in collaboration and adherence to research-based standards for stroke treatment.
The hospital's emergency department was honored for its effective coordination with the Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department throughout 2024. Their collaborative efforts have improved the identification, transport, and immediate care of stroke patients, resulting in faster treatment times and enhanced outcomes.
"Receiving this award means that our community is working together to give our stroke patients the best possible care," said Rochelle Anderson-Tesch, BSN, RN, Stroke Coordinator at Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids. "We are ready to provide the most up-to-date, research-based stroke care, and we want our community to know we’re here to help in their time of need."
With May designated as Stroke Awareness Month, Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids emphasizes its commitment to providing excellent stroke care. "It makes me proud as the Stroke Coordinator to receive this Partners in Stroke Care Award," added Anderson-Tesch.
