The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), a prominent association representing small businesses, has appointed Luke Bacher as the new State Director for Wisconsin. In this role, Bacher will oversee state advocacy, operations, political engagement, communications, and programming for NFIB's numerous members throughout Wisconsin.
Charles Owens, NFIB’s Region Director for the Midwest, expressed his approval of Bacher's appointment. "We are very pleased to have Luke Bacher joining our team as State Director," he stated. Owens highlighted Bacher's extensive experience in the Wisconsin State Assembly, where he served over two decades and most recently held positions as Chief of Staff and Communications Director in the Majority Leader’s office. Owens noted that this background has prepared Bacher to be an effective advocate for NFIB’s 10,000 members in the state.
Bacher's legislative experience includes working on various policy initiatives such as workforce development and reducing regulations. This experience provides him with valuable insights into the challenges faced by small businesses in Wisconsin.
Reflecting on his previous role at the State Capitol, Bacher remarked: "In my previous role at the State Capitol I have witnessed day in and day out the integral role of small and independent businesses in our communities." He added that he is eager to work with an organization that represents these businesses by emphasizing their critical contributions to the state.
