The Medical Staff of Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital and Clinic has announced the recipients of its annual scholarships for graduating seniors from local high schools. These scholarships are awarded to students who have shown academic excellence, community involvement, and a commitment to careers in healthcare.
This year's scholarship recipients include Kayla Buzzell from Pardeeville High School, who plans to attend the University of South Florida for pre-professional sciences with a goal of entering the medical field. Olivia Goldthorpe from Portage High School will study Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, aiming for a future in healthcare. Jillian Maas, also from Portage High School, will major in Microbiology on a pre-med track at the University of Iowa. Giovani Rivas Alcantara from Wisconsin Dells High School will start his healthcare studies at Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences through St. Mary’s University.
Dr. Joseph Mueller, an Orthopedic Surgeon at Aspirus Divine Savior, presented the awards and highlighted the significance of supporting local students passionate about healthcare. “We are honored to support these exceptional young individuals,” said Mueller. “Their dedication and passion for healthcare inspire us, and we look forward to the impact they will make in the years to come.”
Aspirus Divine Savior's medical staff has been awarding scholarships to high school seniors interested in healthcare careers for 25 years.
