Aspirus Health has announced the appointment of Melanee Tiura as the Chief Administrative Officer for Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital and Clinics. A native of Lake Linden, Michigan, Tiura returns to her roots with over 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership.

Tiura's career began as a Clinical Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator before advancing to roles such as CEO, CFO, and Hospital Administrator. Her recent position was as Hospital Administrator at Providence Valdez Medical Center in Alaska, overseeing a rural hospital similar to those in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

“Returning to the Keweenaw feels like coming full circle,” said Tiura. “It’s an honor to bring my experiences back to the place that raised me. I’m excited to join the Aspirus team and help advance healthcare accessibility and quality for our community. This is a special place, and I’m proud to be part of its future.”

Tiura holds degrees from Northern Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, and Central Michigan University. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Natalie Seaber, President – Michigan Region at Aspirus Health, stated: “I believe Melanee will provide tremendous leadership and vision as we continue to grow in the Michigan Region. I’m excited she has chosen to join our team and bring her passion and experience back to her home community.”
