The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Wisconsin has expressed approval for recent actions by the Joint Finance Committee concerning the state budget bill. Luke Bacher, NFIB State Director, issued a statement acknowledging the legislature's support for the tourism sector.

Bacher stated, “On behalf of the thousands of small businesses across Wisconsin, we thank the legislature for its strong commitment to the tourism industry." He highlighted that tourism contributes nearly $26 billion and attracts over 100 million visitors each year to Wisconsin. According to Bacher, this sector is crucial to the state's economy and benefits many small businesses.

He also emphasized the importance of a $36 million investment in tourism proposed by the Legislature. "Many small businesses thrive when tourism flourishes," Bacher noted. He praised members of the Joint Finance Committee for their leadership on this issue and urged Governor Evers to approve this provision.
