Acting United States Attorney Richard G. Frohling announced that Peter J. Henkle, a 51-year-old resident of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, has been sentenced to 72 months in federal prison. The sentence was handed down by Senior United States District Judge William C. Griesbach on June 30, 2025. Henkle was convicted for possessing cocaine and marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Court records reveal that in August 2024, the Oshkosh Police Department executed a search warrant at Henkle’s home. They found over 950 grams of cocaine, more than seven and a half pounds of marijuana, and $321,880 in cash. Investigators also seized significant amounts of money from Henkle’s bank accounts and several vehicles purchased with drug proceeds. Henkle admitted to distributing numerous kilograms of cocaine over two years.
Judge Griesbach ordered Henkle to forfeit $579,207 along with two Harley Davidson motorcycles, a 2019 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack, and a 2020 Ford F250 Lariat Tremor to the government. Additionally, Henkle is required to pay a fine of $50,000.
The investigation was conducted by the Oshkosh Police Department's Vice and Narcotics Unit and the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group - Drug Unit (LWAM), with support from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Assistant United States Attorney Alex Duros prosecuted the case.
