A winning $2,000,000 Powerball ticket was sold in Appleton at Festival Foods on W3195 Van Roy Rd. for the July 5, 2025 drawing. The ticket matched five numbers (1-28-34-50-58) but did not match the Powerball number (8).
The ticket included the $1 Power Play feature, which doubled the prize from $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 due to a 2X multiplier. This marks the second time in 2025 that a $1,000,000 Powerball prize has been won in Wisconsin. Interestingly, both winning tickets were purchased at Festival Foods locations.
In the recent Saturday drawing across the United States, only two tickets matched five numbers: one in Wisconsin and another in Louisiana.
The estimated jackpot for tonight's Powerball drawing is $203 million. The last jackpot was claimed on May 31 by a player from California who won $204.5 million.
Wisconsin Lottery retailers selling winning tickets over $599 are eligible for a two percent Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive, capped at $100,000.
Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prizes. Details on claiming prizes can be found on wilottery.com. Additionally, players can verify if they hold a winning ticket using the Lottery mobile app available on both the App Store and Google Play.
Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m., with ticket sales closing at 9 p.m. for each draw. The optional $1 Power Play feature allows players to multiply non-jackpot prizes up to five times their original amount.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot stand at 1:292,201,338 while securing a $1,000,000 prize carries odds of 1:11,688,054. For those opting for the Power Play add-on option during Saturday's draw, there was a 1:1.75 chance of achieving a 2X multiplier.
