Aspirus Health Foundation has announced a commitment of $500,000 to support the expansion of oral health services at Noble Community Clinics in Stevens Point. This pledge is part of an $18 million initiative aimed at improving access to dental care for underserved residents in Portage County and surrounding areas.

The funding will be used to equip 15 new dental operatories within Noble's expanded dental facility. The funds are derived from donor-restricted gifts given to Aspirus Health Foundation specifically for addressing oral health needs in the region.

“This investment reflects Aspirus Health’s commitment to improving access to essential healthcare services for all,” said Lanna Scannell, Vice President of System Philanthropy, Aspirus Health. She expressed gratitude towards the donors who supported this initiative.

Noble Community Clinics plans to more than double its current dental care capacity, expecting to serve around 15,000 patients annually. Most of these patients are either Medicaid recipients or uninsured and underinsured individuals.

"This investment from Aspirus Health Foundation is transformative for our region,” stated Laura Waldvogel, CEO of Noble Community Clinics. She highlighted that access to dental care is a significant unmet need in the community and emphasized the impact of this gift on their mission.

Noble’s expanded services will include preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care. The new facility will feature 21 treatment rooms designed to improve patient flow and experience.

“This partnership embodies our shared mission to heal people, promote health, and strengthen communities,” said Carrie Penovich, Southeast WI Division President, Aspirus Health. She noted that equipping this facility ensures high-quality dental care for many families in the region.
