For the second consecutive weekend, Wisconsin has seen a $2,000,000 Powerball ticket win. The latest winning ticket was sold at Harbor View Super One in Superior for the drawing on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The ticket matched five numbers (8-16-24-33-54) but missed the Powerball number (18). Thanks to the $1 Power Play feature and a 2X multiplier, the prize doubled from $1,000,000 to $2,000,000.
Last weekend's winner also claimed a $2,000,000 prize with a ticket purchased at Festival Foods in Appleton for the July 5 drawing. This marks the third instance of a $1,000,000 Powerball prize being won in Wisconsin this year.
Wisconsin stood out as the only state with a winning ticket matching five numbers for the July 12 drawing in the United States.
The estimated jackpot for tonight's Powerball drawing stands at $248 million. The last time someone hit the jackpot was on May 31 when a California player won $204.5 million.
Retailers selling winning tickets over $599 receive an incentive through Wisconsin Lottery's Retailer Performance Program. For this sale, Harbor View Super One will earn $40,000.
Winners have up to 180 days from the draw date to claim their prizes. Information on claiming prizes is available on wilottery.com. Tickets can be checked using the Lottery mobile app available on both major app stores.
Powerball drawings occur three times weekly—Monday, Wednesday and Saturday—at 9:59 p.m., with tickets needing purchase before 9 p.m. The optional $1 Power Play allows players to multiply non-jackpot prizes up to five times their original amount.
The odds of securing a Powerball jackpot are notably low at 1:292,201,338 while winning a $1 million prize comes with odds of 1:11,688,054. With Saturday night's draw having a 2X multiplier through Power Play option had odds of being drawn at approximately 1:1.75.
