Gov. Evers appoints Patti Habeck to DATCP Board

Governor Tony Evers has appointed Patti Habeck to the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) Board. The appointment took effect on July 16, 2025.

Patti Habeck brings extensive experience in organizational leadership and regulatory compliance to her new role. She currently serves as President and CEO of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, where she has overseen significant changes in the organization’s strategy and finances. Under her leadership, the food bank has improved its ability to provide nutritious food across 35 counties.

In a statement, DATCP Secretary Randy Romanski welcomed Habeck’s appointment. “Thank you to Gov. Evers for appointing Ms. Habeck as the newest member of the DATCP Board," Romanski said. “Ms. Habeck understands the importance of community engagement and has experience connecting hardworking Wisconsin farmers and hungry people in our communities. I look forward to working with her on the DATCP Board."

Habeck’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, as well as a Master of Science in education from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. She is based in Appleton.

The DATCP Board provides oversight for issues related to agriculture, trade, and consumer protection within Wisconsin. Its members help guide policy decisions that affect farmers, consumers, and businesses throughout the state.
