A Powerball ticket purchased at Family Fresh Market in River Falls has won $100,000 in the August 20, 2025 drawing. The ticket matched four out of five numbers plus the Powerball and included the Power Play feature, which doubled the standard $50,000 prize to $100,000.
The winning numbers for Wednesday’s draw were 31, 59, 62, 65, and 68 with a Powerball of 5. The winner had paid an extra dollar for the Power Play option, resulting in a 2X multiplier.
The current Powerball jackpot stands at $700 million for Saturday’s drawing. This is now the eleventh largest jackpot in Powerball history. So far in 2025, there have been four jackpot winners: one each in Oregon and Kentucky and two in California.
Between June 2 and August 20 during this ongoing jackpot run, Wisconsin has seen two tickets win $2 million and eight tickets win prizes of $50,000 or more.
Powerball offers nine prize levels. In Wisconsin alone, over thirteen thousand tickets from Wednesday's draw won prizes ranging from $4 up to the top non-jackpot prize of $100,000.
Retailers who sell winning tickets worth more than $599 receive a two-percent performance incentive on those winnings with a cap of $100,000.
Winners have up to 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Information about claiming winnings can be found on https://www.wilottery.com along with details about checking tickets through the Lottery’s mobile app available on both App Store and Google Play.
Drawings are held three times per week—Monday, Wednesday and Saturday—at 9:59 p.m., with ticket sales closing at 9:00 p.m. Tickets cost $2 per play; adding the Power Play feature is an additional dollar per play.
The odds of winning the top jackpot are approximately one in 292 million. For a standard $50,000 prize without multipliers, odds are roughly one in 913 thousand. With Wednesday night’s draw featuring a possible two-times multiplier through Power Play, those odds were one in 1.75.
