Aspirus Northland Orthopedics has announced the addition of Dr. Jacqueline Van Gheem, MD, MS, to its orthopedic team in Rhinelander. Dr. Van Gheem will be practicing at the clinic located at 444 E. Timber Dr.

Dr. Van Gheem received her medical degree from LSU Health Shreveport in Louisiana and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. She also holds a Master of Health Sciences from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi.

“It is important to take care of the whole patient and be involved in their care,” said Dr. Van Gheem. “I do my best to help the patient make the best decision for them through communication and education.”

Her clinical interests include fracture management and total joint surgeries. She emphasizes using current advancements and techniques to improve treatment options for patients.

“I chose medicine because I have a passion for helping others,” she said. “I enjoy learning as much as I can in order to help patients make decisions about their healthcare. Trying to help them be active in their healthcare needs to be able to enjoy a long and healthy life.”

Aspirus Northland Orthopedics provides care for patients across all age groups, addressing various bone and joint conditions with both surgical and non-surgical treatments for areas such as the ankle, elbow, foot, hand, hip, knee, shoulder, and wrist. The clinic also manages osteoarthritis, orthopedic trauma, sports injuries, joint revisions, and complex fractures.
