Aspirus Langlade Hospital and Clinic will host a free seminar focused on preventing falls and addressing hip pain in Antigo. The event aims to provide information about strategies for maintaining balance, reducing the risk of falls, and understanding treatment options for hip pain.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday, October 28 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the Demulling Conference Room at Aspirus Langlade Hospital, located at 112 E. Fifth Avenue in Antigo, Wisconsin. The session is open to anyone interested in learning how to stay active and manage mobility issues as they age.
Orthopedic Surgeon Cody Nikolai, MD, and Kathy Freeland, APNP, will lead the program. They will discuss common causes of hip pain and offer advice for those who want to maintain stability or are currently experiencing discomfort.
"Your safety, independence and quality of life are important. Falls and hip pain can be major setbacks, but with the right knowledge and strategies, they can often be prevented or effectively managed," organizers said in a statement.
"Whether your pain began suddenly or developed over time, this seminar will offer guidance on finding relief and improving mobility," according to the announcement.
