Wisconsin born Adrienne Wojciechowski recently received the presidential nomination for a position in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin tweeted her support for Wojciechowski, describing her as a guardian of the agriculture industry.

“Adrienne has proven herself a friend of dairy farmers and an advocate for rural communities. She has a record of working in a bipartisan fashion to help draft, fund and implement farm bills,” Baldwin wrote. “She's the right choice to help us #BuildBackBetter at USDA.”

Wojciechowski has served in subcommittees relating to agricultural and food and drug departments working on projects to promote conservation efforts, climate control and sustainability, according to USDA.

“Adrienne has a deep-rooted and impressive career working on matters related to agriculture, conservation and climate change, particularly in a bipartisan manner in the United States Senate,” Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said.

As a sustainability champion and an expert on legislation, we are fortunate to add her as a leader at USDA as we continue to advance opportunities to build back better and invest in our communities, our infrastructure, our food systems and our families, Vilsack said.

Wojciechowski, who has served in the Senate for 14 years, was inspired by agriculture by being a 4-H kid with beef cattle growing up.
