It's widely known that the Packers will be looking for a receiver, and probably multiple options, during the upcoming draft. They will need to fill the hole left by Davante Adams, and with multiple good round picks there is plenty of speculation on who would be the best fit and how they'll be picked.

According to Cheesehead TV, as of a few days before the draft, starting on April 28, 2022, the Green Bay Packers have picks #22 and #28 in the first round, followed by two more picks in the second round. With all the high-level picks, they will be sure to target some of the top receivers in the draft, about half a dozen of which are expected to go in the first round.

"This draft is so important for the Packers," Kyle Fellows co-host of the Pack-A-Day Podcast wrote in an April 25 Twitter post. "5 selections in the top 100. It’s probable that all of these draft picks will be packers beyond the end of Rodgers’ career. These guys are the building blocks of the future and what may allow GB to contend in a post-12 era.

The current guess is that the Packers will use their first picks in the first and second rounds to grab receivers, with the second pick in each round going to fill other spots, according to Acme Packing Company. The top choice for the first Green Bay pick is Wide Receiver Drake London from USC. London fits the body size that the Packers tend to favor in their receivers and is slightly reminiscent of Davante Adams, though not quite as fast as they’d like.

If the Packers do go with London, they will most likely look for another wide receiver option that has more speed, according to Cheesehead TV. Jalen Tolbert is a possible choice for the Packers in the second round, but is seen as a safe pick. One of the most promising and fastest choices for receivers in this draft is Jameson Williams, who is an all-around star, but is also recovering from a torn ACL which could be seen as too much of a gamble for the Packers.
