UW-Extension Walworth County's Clover University returns in December with five classes open to kids in grades 5 and up. All classes will be held on Wednesday, December 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Walworth County Government Center, 100 W. Walworth St., Elkhorn.
Participants may choose one 90-minute class or two 45-minute classes per participant. Pre-registration is required by December 15 at www.go.wisc.edu/on1e7g. A 4-H membership is not required. Cost varies by class. Some classes have limited space.
Class descriptions:
- Tie Your Own Fishing Fly: Open to grades 6 and up, $8 per participant. Try your hand in tying your very own fishing fly. Pick the pattern, size, and color.
- Cookie Decorating Class: Open to grades 5 and up, $10 per participant. Learn how to decorate cute, tasty cookies.
- Launch into Photography: Open to grades 6 and up, free. Learn how to take a good picture with your cell phone.
- Holiday Craft Class: Soap Making: Open to grades 5 and up, $7 per participant. Design and make a bar of soap along with other gift-worthy holiday crafts.
- No Sew Fleece Blanket: Open to grades 6 and up, free (participants supply own fleece). During this 90-minute class, learn how to make a no-sew fleece blanket.
