The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) announced today that Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW), one of its partners, experienced a security incident potentially exposing the protected health information of 19,150 Wisconsin Medicaid members.

The breach was identified following suspicious activity on a DRW email account. Both DHS and DRW are actively investigating and addressing any complications arising from this data security incident.

On June 21, 2024, DRW is sending notifications to the affected Medicaid members. These individuals will receive free credit monitoring for one year and access to a dedicated call center to address their concerns.

Members who receive notification letters or have questions can contact the call center at 888-733-3814 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. CDT from Monday through Friday. The call center will start operations at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24.
