Krohn Clinic and Black River Memorial Hospital have officially merged to form Black River Health, effective December 30, 2024. This partnership aims to enhance healthcare services in Jackson County and neighboring areas.

"Black River Health promises to continue delivering exceptional, patient-centered care as we work together to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community," stated Dr. Michelle Clark-Forsting, Chief Physician Executive of Black River Health. "This partnership represents our shared vision for a healthier future."

The merger addresses health challenges in Jackson County, which has been underperforming compared to other counties in Wisconsin regarding health outcomes. The new entity is dedicated to providing local, high-quality, and comprehensive healthcare.

A new logo has been introduced for Black River Health, reflecting the natural surroundings and community it serves. It features flowing lines symbolizing rivers, trails, and waterfalls and signifies unity within the health system.

The color scheme combines familiar blues from both organizations with a bright yellow derived from Krohn Clinic's gold color. This design emphasizes a fresh perspective while highlighting the word "Health" to underscore its mission as a distinct healthcare provider.

"We are excited to introduce this new symbol of our partnership," said Carl Selvick, CEO of Black River Health. "It encompasses the rich history of our organizations and communities while serving as a visual representation of our shared vision towards building a healthier future, together."

Both Krohn Clinic and Black River Memorial Hospital will maintain their names and identities but will operate under the Black River Health umbrella. The new logo will be gradually implemented throughout 2025. For further details about Black River Health, visit www.blackriverhealth.com.
