On January 31, 2025, Rep. Moore raised alarms about Elon Musk's intentions to acquire sensitive personal information from Americans, including Social Security numbers and banking details. She questioned his motives, asking, "Unelected billionaire Elon Musk continues to expand his power grab, and this time he wants Americans’ most sensitive information, including their Social Security numbers and banking information. We should all be asking why he wants it."

In another tweet posted on February 1, 2025, Rep. Moore shared a report highlighting the involvement of Trump's team and members of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency with Treasury officials concerning critical government functions related to processing large-scale payments. She quoted the article stating, “Trump’s team, which included members of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency peppered Treasury officials about one of the department’s most sensitive and critical functions: processing trillions of dollars in government payments a year.”
