Rep. Gwen Moore, a U.S. Congress member representing Wisconsin’s 4th district since 2005, has expressed her views on recent actions by former President Donald Trump through a series of tweets. Moore, who succeeded Jerry Kleczka in the role and previously served in both the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate, is known for her active engagement on social media.
On February 1, 2025, Rep. Moore tweeted about an incident involving former President Donald Trump and FBI agents: "Last night Donald Trump had pink slips given to patriotic FBI agents who did their duty and investigated the deadly January 6th insurrection. It’s clear where the Republican Party stands, and it’s not with law and order."
Later that day, she commented on Trump's economic policy plans: "TODAY: Trump is promising to implement sweeping tariffs. Putting your hands over your eyes when playing darts and hoping you hit the bullseye is not sound economic policy."
In another tweet posted on February 1, she criticized tariff policies associated with Republicans: "If Republicans were serious about lowering costs on goods Americans need every day, they wouldn’t be imposing across-the-board tariffs on nearly every product from our closest trading partners. The Trump Trade War 2.0 is here."
