Aspirus Medford Hospital has announced a $30,000 grant to The REC Center through its Community Health Improvement Program. This funding aims to support The REC Center's mission of providing a safe and inclusive space for individuals from all backgrounds, offering resources and interactive programs that promote personal growth and community well-being.

The REC Center, which opened in 2024, serves as a place beyond school and home where community members can relax and engage in various activities. The grant will help fund future amenities such as a youth center with supervised activities. Currently, the center offers a 24-hour fitness center, saunas, an indoor walking track, pickleball courts, a shake bar, locker rooms, showers, and instructor-led fitness classes like Zumba, Pound, and Total Body Circuit.

The Aspirus Medford Hospital Community Health Improvement Program is committed to supporting initiatives that address identified community health needs. By funding programs like The REC Center, Aspirus Medford Hospital aims to improve access to healthcare services, enhance public health, and strengthen community ties.
