Attorney General Josh Kaul has expressed his concerns over reports suggesting that President Trump might sign an executive order to begin the closure of the U.S. Department of Education. In a statement, Kaul emphasized the potential negative impact such a move could have on children’s education.

“Dismantling the Department of Education would be devastating for our kids," said Kaul. He urged resistance against what he sees as an effort by the Trump administration to favor tax cuts for wealthy individuals like Elon Musk at the expense of children's futures.

Kaul's remarks come amidst ongoing discussions and debates about the role and structure of federal agencies in education.
